I have had this song stuck in my head all week, so I figure what the heck I'll use it for my blog post. This is just one of the many reason I love the Randy Rogers Band. I have always liked this song a whole lot but until I watched the music video I had a completely different veiw of it. The lyrics for this song are pretty self explanitory on what he wants. He obviously wants the woman he loves to be with him and he misses her dearly. Now the twist that threw me through a loop about this song was the fact that originally I had just thought it was just another song about a man losing a woman and moping about with some minor chords, but then I watched the music video. Through the whole video I just kept confirming to myself my original thoughts until it reached the end, and as he sang the last line "I wish you were in my arms instead" a tombstone flashed across the screen. At that moment my heart just dropped, I couldn't help but think how selfish and closed minded I had been I honestly wonder if there is a real story behind this song.
